Meet The Artists: Erik Siu

Erik Siu, performer and fortuitous jack of all trades. Storytelling as a fulcrum in his life has taken on many forms. Through his love of music, art and movement, Erik spent formative years as a street performer, acrobat and break-dancer. As a craftsman Erik rebuilt/tuned pianos and made craft jewelry. Over the years a common thread in Erik's life was the sketchbook which has carried him through it all. Through figure drawing meetups, cafe sketching and plein air painting Erik has painted his way through the last decade and worked as an illustrator since 2017. A love for animation and stop-motion has brought him to the beginnings of a career as a background painter and hobby stop-motion film maker. Erik currently resides on the coast of Maine as a freelancer where he plein air paints in his free time.
